Applications Section Supervisor (DGF #4991)

The incumbent in this position will serve as the supervisor of the New Mexico Game and Fish (NMDGF), Information Systems Division (ISD), Applications Team and subject matter expert on all matters concerning web based applications development in a Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP (LAMP) environment, database infrastructure/structure, application/database security, and application backup/recovery operations by providing advanced specialized technical support, configuration management, deployment, maintenance, upgrade, troubleshooting, security, disaster mitigation, and disaster recovery for applications development, web development, database systems, application operations and technologies. The incumbent will create and execute project plans following the stages of a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in the support of NMDGF internal and external web based applications and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Responsibilities include developing code to support complex requirements or to support impeding deadlines in order to keep deliverables on schedule and reviewing subordinate’s code for efficiency and validation as well as assist subordinates in the development of complex coding scenarios.
