Draw Results for Pheasant and Sandhill Crane permits will be available Wednesday, August 30 at 10:00 am. Successful applicants must have a game hunting license and applicable stamps (plus HIP number for crane) in addition to their draw permit. Licenses are available online, by phone or at any license vendor.

To gather public comments, four public meetings will be conducted:
- Albuquerque: 6 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Department of Game and Fish office, 3841 Midway Place, NE.
- Las Vegas: 6 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 26 at the New Mexico State Police Office, 520 South Commerce.
- Roswell: 6 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Department of Game and Fish office, 1912 W. Second St.
- Las Cruces: 6 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 16 at the Department of Game and Fish office, 2715 Northrise Drive.
All students must pre-register prior to class.

New Mexico law requires anyone younger than 18 to obtain a safety permit prior to operating an OHV on public lands. The Department offers free hands-on ATV or dirt bike training that provides a safety permit after completion. Students must provide a properly registered OHV and all necessary safety equipment.
