Hunter Education @ Laguna Police Department

This course is open to students of any age seeking hunter education certification to meet hunting requirements in New Mexico. This course is an instructor-led student course that incorporates lecture, video, hands-on break-out sessions, review methods and homework to educate students. Students 10 and under must have a parent or adult present with them during class. All registered students MUST complete the Today’s Hunter student manual homework before participating in class. The manual can be downloaded for free at, www.hunter-ed.com/newmexico/manual/ or students can pick up a free hard copy manual at Laguna Police Department, I-40 West, Exit 117 (S side of the interstate), Laguna, NM. Students are required to turn in their completed manual worksheets upon arrival to class.

Registration opens on February 16, at 9 a.m. and is conducted online through the students Customer Id Number (CIN) Account. Once in the account, click on Hunter Education then click the Register for Hunter Ed Classes button and follow the prompts.

Hunter Education with Live Fire @ N. Rio Grande Sporting Club

This course is open to students of any age seeking hunter education certification to meet hunting requirements in New Mexico. This course is an instructor-led student course that incorporates lecture, video, hands-on break-out sessions, review methods and homework to educate students. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to participate in a live fire component on the Department’s pellet rifle shooting trailer. Students 10 and under must have a parent or adult present with them during class. All registered students MUST complete the Today’s Hunter student manual homework before participating in class. The manual can be downloaded for free at www.hunter-ed.com/newmexico/manual/ or students can pick up a free hard copy manual at the New Mexico State Police Office, 1410 N. Paseo de Oñate in Española. Students are required to turn in their completed manual worksheets upon arrival to class.
