Recreational Off-Highway Vehicle (ROV) Training for Los Alamos National Labs Employees

Career Day @ Hillrise Elementary School

Las Cruces Public Schools and Hillrise Elementary are having a career day for children attending the school on Sept. 23, 2022. An estimated 400 elementary-aged students from the school will be participating in the event. This event is closed to the public.

Recreational Off-Highway Vehicle (ROV) Training for Pojoaque Police Department

The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish was asked to provide certified ROV training to first responders of the Pojoaque Police Department. This event is free but not open to the public. The training will be held in the Pueblo of Pojoaque, New Mexico at a closed to the public outdoor training facility.

NMDGF Aquatic Education will be working with 20 Tesuque Pueblo youth practicing casting skills at the Tesuque Pueblo Intergenerational Center on Sept. 24. The group will follow up with a fishing day on Sept. 25 on their own. This event is closed to the public.

3D Archery Fun Shoot @ New Mexico Department of Game and Fish Headquarters (near the pond)

NMDGF employees are encouraged to participate in a 3D archery fun shoot at the Santa Fe office. Beginners are welcome and all equipment (user friendly) is provided. The archery range will be a walking range (just like if you were golfing) but with 10-15 targets. Archers will be groups with two to three other archers to walk the range. Each archer will shoot once, score their arrow and proceed to the next target. Scores will be tabulated at the conclusion of the event. This event is closed to the public.
