A Field Day course is an accelerated, instructor-led hunter education course and is for students 10 years of age and older. Students under 11 must have a parent/adult present with them during class. This course incorporates less lecture and review and adds more hands-on components. All students MUST complete the Today’s Hunter student manual homework before class. Veterans Open House @ SE Area Game & Fish Office

The Department of Game and Fish and the Department of Veterans Services have teamed up to provide open house opportunities to community veterans seeking information about unique services and opportunities provided to them. Each agency, along with other partners, will be available to answer questions as well as register veterans for programs, services and opportunities during this event. The Game and Fish Department will specifically provide information on hunting and angling opportunities available to veterans as well as provide help in purchasing licenses and applying for hunting opportunities through the public draw.

ATV Safety Class @ Village of Los Lunas River Park

The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish Off-Highway Vehicle Program presents an ATV safety class provided by the Village of Los Lunas Open Space Division. Students earn the safety permit required for off-highway vehicle operators under the age of 18 years.

ATVs and safety gear are available for use during the class.
