Draw Results for Pheasant and Sandhill Crane permits will be available Wednesday, August 30 at 10:00 am. Successful applicants must have a game hunting license and applicable stamps (plus HIP number for crane) in addition to their draw permit. Licenses are available online, by phone or at any license vendor.
The department will begin accepting online draw applications at 10 a.m. January 10th. The application deadline for bear and turkey permits is 5 p.m. February 7th. The application deadline for big-game licenses is 5 p.m. March 21st. See the 2018-19 New Mexico Hunting Rules & Info.
Hunters need to file harvest reports from last season’s hunt to be eligible for the 2018-2019 draw.

Matt Dunfee, Director of Special Programs for the Wildlife Management Institute and key strategist of the National Recruitment, Retention, Reactivation (R3) Action Plan, will join the New Mexico Depart-ment of Game and Fish at the Governor’s Special Hunt Auction and Banquet.
The department will be auctioning over a dozen premier hunting and fishing packages to benefit the Game Protection Fund of New Mexico.

Results for 2018 Bear and Turkey draw permits available online and permits can be printed on standard paper. Permits are not valid unless accompanied by the appropriate license(s). Bear licenses must be purchased at least two days prior to hunting. Carcass tag required.
