This workshop is required to become a certified hunter education instructor and will certify you to teach both the Standard and the Field Day Hunter Education student courses. This workshop will also provide the NM Hunter Education certification to new instructors who need a required NM hunter education number.
Registration Details: Create a Customer Identification Account (CIN) with the Department. Fill out a volunteer application at https://new-mexico.volunteers.kalkomey.com/ Once the application is approved, signup through your CIN account
Students will measure pH, temperature, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, nitrates, phosphorus, and sample and identify aquatic invertebrates at 2 locations on the Jemez River.

This clinic will cover casting, fishing safety, baits and other basic fishing skills.
This workshop will cover fishing 101, tying knots, equipment safety and casting instruction.

Forty-five seventh grade students will participate in fisheries monitoring and will learn fishing skills on this all-day field trip.
