The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish and the Village of Los Lunas Open Space Officers are providing an OHV Safety Training for first responders. The Village of Los Lunas Open Space Officers are certified Off-Highway Vehicle instructors. This event is free but it is not open to the public. The training will be held at the Los Lunas River Park.
Students of any age must have a customer identification number with the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish. All students must preregister to reserve a place in any training that is offered. Anglers can fish for free in New Mexico on Saturday, Sept. 26, as the state celebrates National Hunting and Fishing Day.
Anyone can fish for free in public fishing waters throughout the state Saturday, Sept. 26, but everyone must observe bag limits and all other rules and regulations. For more information, please visit www.wildlife.state.nm.us.
