NMDGF will give presentations that focus on fish biology, fishing safety, fishing knots, rules and regulations, equipment preparation, casting and fishing opportunities in New Mexico. At the lake, the students will assemble their gear and go fishing. We normally practice catch and release; however, a few fish will be kept for dissection purposes. NMDGF will have wildlife specimens to educate school children attending the event.
NMDGF I&E and OHV staff will be in attendance to help answer questions from the public, inform OHV users about local laws and education programs, and provide living with wildlife/conservation education information.
