WATERSHED IMPROVEMENTS
A series of three check dams with spillways were constructed in this canyon to inhibit the movement of precipitation down this waterway. The end result is increased soil moisture levels and vegetation above the structures, reduced movement of silt, and a temporary water source for wildlife.
