Conservation Educators!

The NM Wildlife Conservation Educator fan page was started in 2014 to provide a mixture of angling, conservation education and natural history posts with plenty of photographs and videos, for teachers and families who enjoy learning about wildlife and wildlife habitats.

We have had fishing and fish-related events such as ice fishing tournaments and kids fishing clinics.  Our bighorn sheep biologist was featured in one post on bighorn sheep skulls and scoring them for record books. We also wanted to highlight volunteer groups involvement with Trout in the Classroom activities, birding festivals and wildlife skills expos.  We have featured a variety of natural history posts on red-winged blackbirds, grasshopper mouse, wild turkeys and Christmas Bird Counts, dragonflies, horned lizards, and the appearance of rare birds in the state.
