BIGHORN SHEEP TRANSPLANTS, FEDERAL FUNDING ON GAME COMMISSION AGENDA
ESPANOLA -- Preliminary plans to trap and transplant bighorn sheep, a report on Department of Game and Fish federal funding programs, and a lease for hunting, fishing and trapping on state lands are among items that will be presented to the New Mexico Game Commission at its May 3 meeting in Espanola.
The meeting will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, May 3, in Room AD101-102 of Northern New Mexico Community College, 921 Paseo de Onate, in Espanola. The New Mexico Game Commission is composed of seven members who represent the state's diverse interests in wildlife-associated recreation and conservation. Members are appointed by the governor and confirmed by the state Senate.
