NMDGF will be giving wild turkey presentations to students in Silver City.
The NMDGF Aquatic Education Program will be working with our partner Nature Ninos, New Mexico Wildlife Federation with youth fishing at Fenton Lake State Park on June 8, 2023.

This course includes a live-fire session on the department’s pellet rifle trailer and is open to students of any age seeking hunter education certification to meet hunting requirements in New Mexico. This course is an instructor-led, student course that incorporates lecture, video, break-out sessions, review methods and homework to educate students. Students 10 and under must have a parent/adult present with them during class. All students MUST complete the Today’s Hunter student manual homework before participating in class. Students can pick up a free hard copy manual at the Roswell Game & Fish Office (M-F 8am-5pm) or the manual can also be downloaded for free at, www.hunter-ed.com/newmexico/manual/. Students are required to turn in their completed manual worksheets and live fire authorization forms upon arrival to class.
Registration opens on May 22, 2023 at 9 a.m. and is conducted online through the students Customer Id Number (CIN) Account. Once in the account, click on Hunter Education then click the Register for Hunter Ed Classes button and follow the prompts.
No entrance fee but some activities may have costs associated with them.
