The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish Aquatic Education program will be working with Fly Fish New Mexico and the Mora Creative Arts Council to conduct a fly-fishing camp with local youth at Morphy Lake State Park. The event is closed to the public.

This youth archery event is open to the public.
Youth archery event
This class is open to families who are interested in learning the basics of fly fishing. The morning session will focus on fly fishing equipment selection, knot tying, selecting lures/flies, casting instruction and general discussions on where to go. The afternoon session will be on the water! Casting and fishing instruction will be provided by professional fishing guides and Trout Unlimited -Enchanted Circle Chapter volunteers. Loaner equipment will be provided but participants are encouraged to bring their own if they have it.
This class will be offered by volunteers from the Enchanted Circle Chapter of Trout Unlimited.
Registration opens May XX at 9 am at XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. Slots will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. To qualify for the camp, participants must have a Customer Identification Number account with the department and complete the required homework before attending.
