NMDGF staff and USFWS LE will be giving information (virtually) on catfishing to include licenses information, biology, possible areas to fish and methods. This event is open to the public and more information can be found at https://friendsofbosquedelapache.org/festival-of-the-cranes/.
The landscape around Los Alamos is unique and provides excellent habitat for wildlife to live in and near the community. In the community, you can frequently see deer, bears, cougars and other wildlife — or at least see evidence of them.
Everyone can work together to help keep wildlife and people safe. On April 27 at 6:00 p.m. Game and Fish officers and biologists will be live on Zoom and broadcast on the Department’s Facebook page to talk about the unique landscape, wildlife that are in the area, what to do if you live in the area and how to be safe when recreating in the area.
