These events are for the students of Coronado Elementary School, Albuquerque. The clinic will consist of fishing safety, knots, equipment, fish identification and fishing. After the fishing portion, we will also have a dissection lesson.

These events are for the students of Mesa View Elementary School in Grants. The workshop will consist of fishing safety, knots, equipment, casting, fish identification and fishing skills. The fishing clinic will be held either at Bluewater State Park or the Riverwalk, depending upon available transportation.
Are you interested in shooting a bow but just don’t know where to start? Have you started shooting and you want to learn more? Perhaps you want to increase your skills to apply for an archery hunt this year? If you answered YES to any of these or you just want to improve your archery or bowhunting skills come join us for our March social hour sessions.
For March, we are offering a two-part session. Come join us virtually on Tuesday, March 14 at 5:30 p.m., and learn about archery and bowhunting. There will be information provided during the entire session that will be beneficial to individuals of all skill levels. In addition to the virtual session, two in-person sessions will be hosted in partnership with local archery shops in Albuquerque and Las Cruces.
On March 17 at 6pm, if you would like to participate in the Intro to Archery for Women session in Albuquerque, please contact Gina Chavez at the Archery Shoppe to register, 505-292-3744. You will need to RSVP by March 15 to participate in the in-person session (a registration fee will apply). Food and drinks are included.
On March 18 at 10am, you can attend our Intro to Archery and Bowhunting session hosted by Helen Butt at High Desert Archery in Las Cruces. This School Event is Closed to the Public
The NMDGF Aquatic Education Program will be working with 28 boys, ages 5-10, from the East Mountain Area Trail Life Troop Program. The kids will learn to put a rig together, tie a knot, and practice casting before fishing. There will be 16 adults present.
