Living with wildlife in Los Alamos @ Zoom
Apr 27 @ 6:00 pm

The landscape around Los Alamos is unique and provides excellent habitat for wildlife to live in and near the community. In the community, you can frequently see deer, bears, cougars and other wildlife — or at least see evidence of them.

Everyone can work together to help keep wildlife and people safe. On April 27 at 6:00 p.m. Game and Fish officers and biologists will be live on Zoom and broadcast on the Department’s Facebook page to talk about the unique landscape, wildlife that are in the area, what to do if you live in the area and how to be safe when recreating in the area.

Ladies’ Social Hour @ Virtual
May 18 @ 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

When spring turkey season ends there are several months before the fall hunts start. What do those that love to hunt do during that time?

They scout. The summer months are a great time to get out into the woods and mountains to scout for that fall elk hunt. Not only is it cooler than being in town, but it is also a great time to observe elk, train yourself to recognize tracks and scat and familiarize yourself with your Game Management Unit.
