As a result of the Governor’s public health directive related to COVID-19, the Governor’s Special Hunt Auction and Banquet scheduled for March 14, 2020 has been postponed. We will notify all ticket holders when a new date has been set and look forward to seeing all attendees at the rescheduled event. The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish and the Village of Los Lunas Open Space Officers are providing an OHV Safety Training for first responders. The Village of Los Lunas Open Space Officers are certified Off-Highway Vehicle instructors. This event is free but it is not open to the public. The training will be held at the Los Lunas River Park.
Students of any age must have a customer identification number with the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish. All students must preregister to reserve a place in any training that is offered. NMDGF staff and USFWS LE will be giving information (virtually) on catfishing to include licenses information, biology, possible areas to fish and methods. This event is open to the public and more information can be found at https://friendsofbosquedelapache.org/festival-of-the-cranes/.
