Ladies’ Social Hour @ Virtual
May 18 @ 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

When spring turkey season ends there are several months before the fall hunts start. What do those that love to hunt do during that time?

They scout. The summer months are a great time to get out into the woods and mountains to scout for that fall elk hunt. Not only is it cooler than being in town, but it is also a great time to observe elk, train yourself to recognize tracks and scat and familiarize yourself with your Game Management Unit.

Hunting season is upon us and many of us will be headed into the woods, prairie or desert in hopes of filling our tag(s). Of course, we all relish the overall experience of just being outdoors but harvesting an animal is icing on the proverbial cake. Once you harvest….now what do you do? How do I take care of the animal so it produces a bounty of wonderful meat to nourish my family and friends? In our session, we will discuss and show field dressing and processing tips that will benefit not only the novice hunter but the seasoned one as well.
