Hunter Education Course @ SW Area Game & Fish Office

This course includes a live fire session on the Dept.s pellet rifle trailer and is open to students of any age seeking hunter education certification to meet hunting requirements in New Mexico. This course is an instructor-led student course that incorporates lecture, video, break-out sessions,  review methods and homework to educate students. Students 10 and under must have a parent/adult present with them during class. All students MUST complete the Today’s Hunter student manual homework before participating in class. Rio Rancho Children’s Water Festival @ Rio Rancho Special Events Center

The NMDGF Aquatic Education program will be participating in the annual Rio Rancho Children’s Water Festival.  Aquatic Education staff will be running the casting skills station for up to 25 fifth grade students at a time. The casting skills station will be one of four activity stations at the festival, and students will rotate and participate in all four stations.
