The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish Off-Highway Vehicle Program presents an ATV safety class at the old racetrack at the Doña Ana County Fairgrounds, site of the Southern New Mexico State Fair.
Students completing the class receive the safety permit required for off-highway vehicle operators under the age of 18 years on public lands. Students under the age of 18 will also receive a free helmet and goggles.
ATVs and safety gear will be available for use during the class.

Students must be at least 6 years of age. The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish (NMDGF) is accepting applications from the public to be appointed by the State Game Commission to the Habitat Stamp Program Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC). The CAC represents the Habitat Stamp Program as a volunteer working group with the NMDGF. Members of the CAC work with program and project managers from the NMDGF, Bureau of Land Management (BLM), and US Forest Service (USFS) to represent New Mexico public interest as it pertains to fish and wildlife habitat restoration projects that occur on BLM and USFS lands throughout New Mexico.

This camp is for participants of all ages who are interested in learning more about the basics of archery and bowhunting. Participants will learn archery basics and safety, how to choose equipment, proper shot placement while hunting, outdoor preparedness and more!
