New Mexico Department of Game and Fish Aquatic Education program staff will be fishing with up to 30 senior citizens from the Rio Bravo Senior Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at Tingley Beach on Sept. 22, 2023, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Department staff will review tying a fishing knot, putting a rig together and practice casting before fishing. Experienced anglers will help those with less experience.
National Hunting and Fishing Day. No fishing license required on Sept 23-24; all other fishing rules apply
The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish Off-Highway Vehicle Program presents an off-highway motorcycle safety class open to the general public. Students earn the safety permit required for off-highway vehicle operators under the age of 18 years.
Off-highway motorcycles and safety gear are available for use during the class. A parent or guardian must remain on site during the class.
Space is limited -all students must have a free account with the Department of Game and Fish (https://onlinesales.wildlife.state.nm.us). Students must be at least 6 years of age.
The NMDGF Aquatic Education Program will be hosting a fishing station working with Nature Ninos at Monastery Lake for Free Fishing Day Pecos Fishing Derby. The event is open to the public. Please contact Sarah Candelaria at (505) 573 – 0705 for more information.

This event is for the students of Eagle Nest Elementary School. The fishing workshop will cover safety, knots, equipment and casting followed by a fishing clinic held at Eagle Nest Lake.
