Game Commission to meet Jan. 27
SANTA FE – The New Mexico State Game Commission will hold a virtual meeting starting at 9 a.m., Friday, Jan. 27. The full agenda, attendee information and additional information will be available on the Department of Game and Fish website.
If you are interested in participating in the meeting and providing comments, you are encouraged to pre-register to attend the meeting on the Zoom Webinar platform. Participants can attend the virtual meeting using a desktop computer, mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets, or by telephone. In addition, there will be a live webcast on the Department’s website for those who wish to only view or listen to the meeting.

NMDGF will be participating at the Arizona-New Mexico Chapter of American Fisheries Society in Farmington, New Mexico. Staff will be participating in a mentor lunch, wildlife/fisheries competition, and attending scientific presentations.

Maybe you want to know how to read the available draw hunt odds to improve your hunting opportunities. Perhaps you just need a little guidance on the draw application process. If any of these apply to you, or maybe you have other reasons or questions, come join us! We are making ourselves available to help you navigate through the Big Game Rules and Information Booklet and how to use this resource to apply for the 2023-2024 hunt season. If you had a hunt this past season and are unfamiliar with how to fill out your harvest report, we can help!
Hunt applications can be entered on a computer, laptop, tablet or phone! Bring one of these devices with you or one will be available if you don’t have one. While this event is focused on ladies, but we welcome everyone to join us.

These workshops are for the Grady FFA students. The workshops will consist of fishing safety, knots, equipment, fish identification and casting.

These events are for the students of Coronado Elementary School, Albuquerque. The clinic will consist of fishing safety, knots, equipment, fish identification and fishing. After the fishing portion, we will also have a dissection lesson.

These events are for the students of Mesa View Elementary School in Grants. The workshop will consist of fishing safety, knots, equipment, casting, fish identification and fishing skills. The fishing clinic will be held either at Bluewater State Park or the Riverwalk, depending upon available transportation.
