The Aquatic Education program will be presenting a live Trout in the Classroom aquatic education presentation to 140 total elementary school students.
The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish’s aquatic education program will present a Trout in the Classroom Aquatic Education presentation entitled “How Fish Use Their Senses To Survive.” There will be 140 elementary students in attendance.

This event is for the 3rd graders of Rio Rancho Public schools. The fishing workshops will consists of safety, knots, equipment, and casting followed by fishing at Tingley Beach.
The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish Off-Highway Vehicle Program presents an ATV safety class provided by the Village of Los Lunas Open Space Division. Students earn the safety permit required for off-highway vehicle operators under the age of 18 years.
ATVs and safety gear are available for use during the class.
Space is limited – all students must have a free account with the Department of Game and Fish (https://onlinesales.wildlife.state.nm.us/). Students must be at least 6 years of age.

This School Event is Closed to the Public
NMDGF Aquatic Education will be doing an aquatic education presentation to 120 elementary school trout in the classroom students on April 24, 2023.
The department will host a booth during the 2023 Ranch Days event for students to participate in archery or be introduced to archery.

This event is for the 4th graders of Silver City Public School. The fishing workshop will cover safety, knots, equipment, and casting followed by a fishing clinic held at Bill Evans Lake.

The NMDGF Aquatic Education program will be fishing with up to 25 youth from the Santa Fe Home School Community at Monastery Lake on April 27, 2023.
