This event is for the special needs students of the Artesia Public Schools. The fishing workshops will consist of safety, knots, equipment, and casting. We will go fishing at Lake Van.

The NMDGF Aquatic Education program will be practicing casting, putting together fishing rigs and fishing with 80 mid-schoolers from 21st Century Public Academy, Albuquerque, NM.

The Aquatic Education program will be presenting a live Trout in the Classroom aquatic education presentation to 140 total elementary school students.
The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish’s aquatic education program will present a Trout in the Classroom Aquatic Education presentation entitled “How Fish Use Their Senses To Survive.” There will be 140 elementary students in attendance.
