RIO ARRIBA COUNTY – On September 29, 2016, a bull elk was found on Highway 285, south of mile marker 378 near Tres Piedras. The elk was shot twice, and neither meat nor antlers were removed. No elk hunting season was taking place at that time. The Department is seeking information leading to charges being filed.
