The NMDGF Aquatic / Archery Education will be participating in an outdoor experience for 35 disadvantaged Native and Latino students. The students will be participating in six outdoor stations in conjunction with the NMWF. All participants have never fished, or shot with a bow and arrow, and will be introduced to six outdoor station activities.

This event is for the Monte del Sol Charter School Biology class. On Feb. 10 there will be a one hour workshop for each class. We will be learning about the fish of New Mexico, gear safety, gear preparation and casting. On Feb. 11 we will be doing a fish dissection class.

NASP 2022 NM State Championship Flier
Registration February 1st, 2022 – April 2nd, 2022; Registration fee: $ 3.00 per shooter.,

Teams may consist of 12-24 archers which must include no fewer than four of each gender. Only one team per school is allowed.
The NMDGF aquatic education and archery coordinators, Dennis Segura and Bruce Atencio, will be participating in the March 5, Deming Tree’s Lake Outdoor Day. The participants are disadvantaged youth, most of which have never fished, or participated in archery. There will be an estimated 75 youth participating.
