This camp is for participants of any age who is interested in learning more about the basics of archery and bow hunting. Participants will learn archery basics and safety, how to choose equipment, proper shot placement while hunting, outdoor preparedness, and more!
All archery equipment will be provided however, participants are encouraged to bring their own equipment if they have it. Camping is available at the State Park per reservation. Participants are responsible for all food and drinks. Youth under 18 must have a parent or adult present during the camp.

All participants must have a Department Customer Id Number (CIN) Account and enter this number onto the registration form.
NMDGF will be giving a wildlife presentation at Esther Bone Public Library in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
Requested to represent DGF with a both/table. Answer fishing and hunting questions, provide informational material and sell licenses if needed.
This fishing clinic is for the eighth-grade students of Monte del Sol School. The fishing clinic will consist of fishing safety, knots, equipment, casting, and fish identification. There will be a hatchery tour followed with fishing at Monastery Lake.
The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish Aquatic Education program will be fishing with Monte del Sol School, Santa Fe, at Monastery Lake on May 20 in conjunction with the Trout in the Classroom program. The event is closed to the public.

This fishing clinic is for the fourth-grade students of Mesa View School. The fishing clinic will consist of fishing safety, knots, equipment, casting, and fish identification. Fishing will be at the Riverwalk.
New Mexico Department of Game and Fish Aquatic Education Program staff will be fishing with the city of Rio Rancho Parks and Recreation & Community Service, Division of Senior Services, at Liam Knight Pond, Corrales, New Mexico on May 21, 2024. The event is closed to the public.
New Mexico Administrative Services Division employees will participate in a 3-D Archery Adventure Shoot training. Participants will walk a pre-determined course in small groups. Each archer gets one to three shots at a three-dimensional target shaped like an animal. The targets on the animals cover the vital areas where a hunter would normally aim. This course challenge archers to adapt their shooting to account for variable conditions, distances, and angles. Participants will learn how to score a target and track their individual score.
