This workshop is for certification as a Basic Archery Instructor for participation in the National Archery in the Schools Program. The workshop follows a hybrid learning model with both online and in-person instruction. All equipment is provided for training purposes. This event is closed to the public.

A fishing classroom day will be held for James Bickley’s 3rd Grade Classroom 1. The following topics:
What is Fishing?, types of NM fish species/anatomy, habitat, diet, understanding fishing gear, tying knots, safety, and so on. This will also include a demonstration of how to assemble the rod and reel, which will be put into practice during the fishing day that follows this class.

Department staff will be teaching a fishing lesson to Taos Integrated School for the Arts, which participates in the Trout in the Classroom (TIC) program. The students will be learning how to assemble rods, tie knots, bait hooks, cast safely and catch, land and release fish. This event is closed to the public
