This camp is for participants of any age who is interested in learning more about the basics of archery and bow hunting. Participants will learn archery basics and safety, how to choose equipment, proper shot placement while hunting, outdoor preparedness, and more!
All archery equipment will be provided however, participants are encouraged to bring their own equipment if they have it. Camping is available at the State Park per reservation. Participants are responsible for all food and drinks. Youth under 18 must have a parent or adult present during the camp.

All participants must have a Department Customer Id Number (CIN) Account and enter this number onto the registration form.
NMDGF will be giving a wildlife presentation at Esther Bone Public Library in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
Department staff will be teaching a fishing lesson to three different elementary school classes that are participating in the Trout in the Classroom (TIC) program. The students will be learning how to assemble rods, tie knots, bait hooks, cast safely and catch, land and release fish. This event is closed to the public.
NMDGF will be giving a wildlife presentation.
This class is open to families who are interested in learning the basics of fly fishing. The morning session will focus on fly fishing equipment selection, knot tying, selecting lures/flies, casting instruction and general discussions on where to go. The afternoon session will be on the water! Casting and fishing instruction will be provided by professional fishing guides and Trout Unlimited -Enchanted Circle Chapter volunteers. Loaner equipment will be provided but participants are encouraged to bring their own if they have it.
This class will be offered by volunteers from the Enchanted Circle Chapter of Trout Unlimited.
Registration opens May XX at 9 am at XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. Slots will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. To qualify for the camp, participants must have a Customer Identification Number account with the department and complete the required homework before attending.
The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish Aquatic Education program will be working with Fly Fish New Mexico and the Mora Creative Arts Council to conduct a fly-fishing camp in Coyote Creek State Park for local youth. This event is closed to the public.
Department staff will be giving a wildlife presentation to youth for the summer program.
