This will be a 3D archery shoot competition where youth will compete for prizes such as belt buckles and bows. There will also be a team (duo) competition where an adult and a youth pair up and compete against other teams for belt buckles. Archery equipment will be provided. Individuals can use their own equipment for fun but in order to compete for prizes they have to use our equipment. Food and drinks will be provided.
No registration. Need to finish shooting by 11 a.m.
Outdoor Day at Ute Lake State Park in Logan. Activities will include the Poach Coach, pellet gun trailer, casting demonstrations, wildlife identification presentation, archery (NASP) and water safety presentation by New Mexico State Parks. NMDGF Officers and State Park Rangers will be present and putting on the event. It will be a busy weekend at the lake, and, weathering permitting, should be a large turnout.
Youth archers will shoot a 10-target, walking, 3-D range utilizing a Genesis bow. Equipment will be provided if needed.

This workshop is for certification as a Basic Archery Instructor for participation in the National Archery in the Schools Program. The workshop follows a hybrid-learning model with both online and in-person instruction. All equipment is provide for training purposes. Register online at www.naspbai.org.

The Department will be hosting a pre-bid Zoom meeting to answer questions potential contractors may have about becoming a Department hunting/shooting/fishing camp contractor. We will provide an overview of what responsibilities the contractor would have as well as general requirements.
Overview: Camp contractors will host day and overnight hunting, fishing and shooting camps, as needed and determined by the Department. We encourage anyone interested in becoming a camp contractor to attend this meeting. However, attendance is NOT MANDATORY to place a bid. The Department’s annual exhibit at the New Mexico State Fair will be open to fair attendees Sept. 7-17 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., featuring live fish species and educational displays. Department staff will also be on hand to answer questions from the public.

The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish Off-Highway Vehicle Program presents a class on enforcement of the Off Highway Vehicle act to DPD & LCSO so they can learn the laws on OHV’s in New Mexico as per grant agreement.

Aquatic Education staff will be running the casting skills station for up to 25 fifth grade students at a time. The casting skills station will be one of four activity stations at the festival, and students will rotate and participate in all four stations.

The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish (NMDGF) is accepting applications from the public to be appointed by the State Game Commission to the Habitat Stamp Program Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC). The CAC represents the Habitat Stamp Program as a volunteer working group with the NMDGF. Members of the CAC work with program and project managers from the NMDGF, Bureau of Land Management (BLM), and US Forest Service (USFS) to represent New Mexico public interest as it pertains to fish and wildlife habitat restoration projects that occur on BLM and USFS lands throughout New Mexico.
· The deadline to apply is December 15th, 2023 at 5pm MST
