As a result of the Governor’s public health directive related to COVID-19, the Governor’s Special Hunt Auction and Banquet scheduled for March 14, 2020 has been postponed. Living with wildlife in Los Alamos @ Zoom

The landscape around Los Alamos is unique and provides excellent habitat for wildlife to live in and near the community. In the community, you can frequently see deer, bears, cougars and other wildlife — or at least see evidence of them.

Everyone can work together to help keep wildlife and people safe. On April 27 at 6:00 p.m. Game and Fish officers and biologists will be live on Zoom and broadcast on the Department’s Facebook page to talk about the unique landscape, wildlife that are in the area, what to do if you live in the area and how to be safe when recreating in the area.

Members of the public are invited to attend this meeting in order to become familiar with the proposed projects and to offer feedback and opinions.
