This course is open to students of any age seeking hunter education certification to meet hunting requirements in New Mexico. This course is an instructor-led student course that incorporates lecture, video, hands-on break-out sessions, review methods and homework to educate students. Students 10 and under must have a parent or adult present with them during class. All registered students MUST complete the Today’s Hunter student manual homework before participating in class. Participants will learn how to identify quail, practice clay shooting, quail hunt and field dress quail. They will also learn about rules and regulations and receive a refresher on hunter safety. Camping will take place at Bottomless Lakes State Park campground near Roswell and the hunt will take place on nearby public land.
