The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish will host a workshop for the Homeschoolers of Las Cruces. The workshop will include lessons about fishing safety, knots, equipment, fish identification and casting. A fishing field trip is scheduled for the following week. This event is closed to the public.

NMDGF will be giving a wildlife presentation to wildlife and fisheries students at Bloomfield High School.
NMDGF will be participating at the Arizona-New Mexico Chapter of American Fisheries Society in Farmington, New Mexico. Staff will be participating in a mentor lunch, wildlife/fisheries competition, and attending scientific presentations.
This course is open to students of any age seeking hunter education certification to meet hunting requirements in New Mexico. This course is an instructor-led, student course that incorporates lecture, video, break-out sessions, review methods and homework to educate students. Students 10 and under must have a parent/adult present with them during class. All students MUST complete the Today’s Hunter student manual homework before participating in class.
