An interactive class will be held for NMWF Interns that provides a high-level overview of angling essentials. This session will be tailored to the interns so that they’ll be able to use knowledge gained to facilitate future fishing days with their respective groups. The class will cover topics such as fish species/anatomy, habitat, diet, understanding fishing gear, tying knots, safety and so on. The participants will be gauged and quizzed throughout the session to ensure they’re retaining the content. This will include hands-on practice casting, rod and reel assembly, and barb pinching.
